Mission: Impossible (1966)
S03E25 The Interrogator
Episode Overview
Agent Norvan Kruger is aware of an impending attack by his country that could lead to global devastation, but he finds himself captured by a hostile nation. His interrogator, Spindler, has yet to break him, but the U.S. desperately needs the attack plans. The IMF intervenes, capturing both Spindler and Kruger during a transport, locking Spindler away. To prove Kruger's identity, he reveals the details of a nuclear missile launch from submarines aimed at the U.S. The IMF then drugs Kruger to distort his memories, making him believe he’s an interrogator tasked with extracting information from Rollin. Under pressure from the fake superior "Kutzof," Kruger becomes increasingly bewildered, especially when he struggles to understand Rollin’s claims of having similar knowledge. Jim, posing as a psychiatrist, suggests Kruger is subconsciously blocking the words, leading to a tense moment when Kruger, in a panic, inadvertently reveals critical information.
