Mission: Impossible (1966)

Episode Overview

While on vacation, Paris is ambushed by a Communist agent named Karl Maur, who knocks him unconscious and hands him over to Dr. Tabor, a specialist in brain manipulation. Dr. Tabor fails to break Paris’s will, so he erases his memories and implants an electrode to program him to see Jim as a threat, reminiscent of authority figures who caused him past losses. Doug and Jim find nothing amiss with Paris, but Barney discovers fingerprints linking to Maur. As Jim investigates, a Communist operative befriends Paris, only to be murdered by Tabor, framing Jim for the crime. Paris attacks Jim but regains his senses when Jim’s life is endangered, turning his fury against Tabor instead.
