Episode Overview

Hughes, an American intelligence officer, has defected to the enemy, taking with him the sole copy of a critical encoded message. The IMF is tasked with retrieving the document, discrediting Hughes, and ensuring he doesn't hand it over to the enemy's cryptographer, Belson. Rollin impersonates Belson and convinces Ambassador Brazneck that Dan is interested in purchasing sensitive papers from the embassy. While working with Hughes to decode the message, Rollin drugs him. Willy helps special agent Tina Mera, a skilled contortionist, infiltrate the embassy through a fake air duct. She creates the illusion of Hughes' disappearance using a deceptive bed covering, then breaks into the vault to secure the genuine message. With Hughes out of the picture, Briggs collects the fake message from someone posing as Hughes, who has supposedly vanished. Tina returns, plants money on Hughes, and removes the disguise, leading Brazneck to believe Hughes has betrayed him, prompting Hughes to flee.
