Publisher Granger is under the Syndicate's thumb, eliminating journalists and shielding their politicians in his state. The IMF needs to reveal Granger's true actions to the electorate before the upcoming elections. Using Granger's fascination with UFOs and his desire for eternal life, chauffeur Barney administers a paralysis drug via a bee sting. Jim and Casey then make a dramatic entrance, seemingly curing him with advanced technology. Manipulated reports of UFO sightings lead Granger to believe they are extraterrestrials. After staging Casey's death and Jim's miraculous revival, Granger pleads for immortality. Jim agrees, but only if Granger publicly denounces his corrupt ways. Granger then exposes the Syndicate candidates, only to be shot by his former aide, who is tied to the Syndicate.
