Syndicate leader Chandler's alibi is secured by Lt. Governor Harrison, who is working for him. To silence the sole witness, Nora Dawson, Chandler has her husband commit her to a mental institution he controls, where she is driven to madness. The IMF steps in to rescue Nora and ensure she can testify within 24 hours. Jim orchestrates a plan to have Casey admitted to the facility, placing her in a room adjacent to Nora's. After switching identities with Nora, Jim manages to smuggle her out. When Casey, disguised as Nora, is called to the stand and starts rambling, she reveals her true identity, allowing the real Nora to take the stand.
