Episode Overview

Phillipe Pereda, the finance minister of Costa Mateo, has embezzled $40 million from President De Caro's secure vault. De Caro plans to announce that this money will fund an industrialization initiative. Pereda, however, intends to frame the president for the theft and seize control of the country. The IMF is determined to thwart his scheme. Willy assists Barney in breaking into the vault, making it appear as though a robbery has occurred before triggering the alarm. Rollin, disguised as an auditor, briefly distracts a guard before knocking him out and then himself. With the new robbery complication, Pereda realizes he cannot pin the blame on De Caro. To fix this, Cinnamon and Jim, posing as negotiators for land acquisition once Pereda assumes power, propose that he temporarily substitute the stolen cash with Treasury funds before De Caro announces the theft. Pereda cleverly uses an audio recording of De Varo’s code to access the vault and replaces the money.
