Episode Overview
Corrupt promoter Paul Mitchell has fallen under the influence of mobster Jay Braddock, who orchestrated the murder of middleweight fighter Loomis after he refused to take a dive. The IMF steps in to bring both men to account. They manipulate Mitchell into believing that Braddock wants him dead. Barney and Jim swipe $37,800 from Braddock, then pose as a rival mob wanting to purchase their fighter, Novick, for the same amount. When Braddock plots to eliminate Novick, the IMF intercepts, with Jim posing as the hitman who fakes Novick's death using a firebomb, alongside Casey disguised as Mitchell's daughter. Mitchell tries to back out under pressure, but Braddock complicates matters by threatening Jim to reassure him. In the chaos, both men are apprehended.
