Episode Overview

Professor Bennett, an archaeologist, finds himself ensnared in a coup orchestrated by Gomalk, the Chief of Security Police, targeting President Rurich. During a mistaken arrest, Bennett suffers a heart attack while being interrogated. The IMF team has to both save him and thwart the coup. They stage an assassination to disrupt Gomalk's plans. Cinnamon, posing as Bennett's wife, attempts to frame him as an American agent, causing Gomalk to keep the information under wraps—until Phelps informs Rurich. Rurich calls for Bennett's interrogation and plans an operation. Rollin, disguised as a doctor, "discovers" a bomb in Bennett's room. Barney, Willy, and guest agent Dr. Siebert arrive as a bomb squad, brandishing weapons to "rescue" Bennett. Rollin fakes Bennett's death, allowing the team to escape with Bennett concealed in a bomb disposal vehicle while Rollin assumes his identity.
