Mission: Impossible (1966)

Episode Overview

Peter Cordel, a skilled hitman and chess grandmaster, has managed to stay under the radar, prompting the IMF to take action and uncover his connections within the Syndicate. With the help of guest-agent Sandy, they administer a hypnotic drug that causes Cordel to blackout whenever he hears the phrase, "When in doubt, take a pawn." The team orchestrates events that make it appear as if he has committed several murders during these blackouts. When he regains consciousness in a mental hospital, an IMF operative fakes an attack to convince Cordel that his boss is out to kill him. This leads Cordel to inform Sandy to warn his boss to stop the hit, allowing the IMF to apprehend the crime lord.
