Nicholas Varsi, an assassin, has been apprehended but insists he wants to defect and share details of his mission with the FIS, provided he receives safe asylum. However, there's a concern that the FIS might have a mole, and Varsi could be feeding them false information. To determine his true intentions, the IMF steps in. Jim and Willy stage a breakout, with Jim posing as an agent from Varsi's old government, pressuring him for answers. Varsi remains silent and even fires a blank at FIS agent Andrea, who is secretly an IMF operative. They decide to let them go, hoping Varsi will return Andrea if he’s genuine. Instead, Varsi arranges a meeting with Colonel Kremmer at a hotel, prompting the IMF to race against time to save both him and Andrea from imminent danger.
