Episode Overview
Nuclear physicist Joseph Collins steals a stash of plutonium, planning to sell it to an unknown foreign buyer through a man named Haig. The IMF steps in to track down Haig and recover the plutonium. They trick Collins with a fabricated news report about military action in the Middle East, then arrest him for murder and show him footage of a devastated Los Angeles before rendering him unconscious. When he regains consciousness, he discovers it's the year 2000; he’s been out cold for 28 years, and the state eliminates anyone aged 65—he'll be 65 in two days. In a panic, he escapes his confinement and stumbles upon a secret meeting of military leaders ready to surrender due to a shortage of nuclear materials. Collins readily reveals the location of his hidden cache.
