Meanwhile, Danny publishes the Shareef story, causing a significant divide between Jed and Abbey, as well as Liz. Strains emerge between Walken's team and Bartlet's administration. The Democratic leadership in Congress criticizes Leo for permitting Jed to withdraw from the situation. In a retaliatory act following Shareef's death, a bombing at a cinema in Turkey results in the tragic loss of eighty lives, including several American soldiers.
