Mulberry (1992)

Episode Overview

Miss Farnaby decides to take part in a local flower contest and assigns Bert the responsibility of getting one of her cherished hyacinths to bloom just in time. Meanwhile, Mulberry’s father reappears, insisting that Mulberry must “take” Miss Farnaby or face dire consequences. Desperate, Mulberry begs for an extension of just 24 hours. While checking on the hyacinth, he encounters his mother, Springtime, who is also encouraging the flower to bloom. He pleads with her to speak to his father for more time with Miss Farnaby, and she agrees. When the hyacinth finally blossoms beautifully for the competition, Bert is left astonished.
