Laura, Millie, and Jerry are tuning in to the newest episode of The Alan Brady Show when Jerry boldly declares it terrible, even telling a police officer who stops by for tickets. Taking Millie's suggestion to heart, Rob, after offering coffee and trying to get Jerry to quit with the jokes, accidentally spills hot coffee on Jerry's lap. When Ritchie comes home, he announces that Rob punched Jerry in the nose, but Rob later clarifies to Laura that he didn’t actually hit Jerry. Meanwhile, a waitress expresses her enjoyment of the show, prompting Jerry to reiterate his negative opinion at the restaurant, which inadvertently leads to Rob accidentally hurting Laura’s nose with a fingernail!
