Episode Overview
A producer named Shannon Stewart from the tabloid show "Cool TV" arrives at Bayside to oversee the filming of Maria's talk show. Screech informs Maria that Mr. Belding will be appearing as her guest. When Maria meets Shannon, she learns that the producer wants to shift her show's format to focus on sensationalism, digging up private secrets from her friends for the next episode. Screech expresses his worries about this new direction. The following day, during the taping, Ryan and Liz's dating secrets are exposed, which prompts Nicky to join in. Although Shannon and her boss are thrilled with the show's new angle and praise Maria, her friends are upset about their personal lives being broadcast. After Mr. Belding discovers what Maria has done, he decides to cancel the show. Meanwhile, at "Cool TV," vice-president Brian Blair shares plans for Maria's future and proposes that she host a weekly show on their network.
