Ryan and Nicky remain uncertain about who will win Liz's heart. Ryan tries to impress her by bringing lunch, but Nicky shows up to interrupt. When Nicky takes ballet classes with Liz, Ryan decides to join in as well. The rivalry between the stepbrothers intensifies, leaving Liz torn between them. Meanwhile, Katie and Eric are organizing a surprise birthday party for Maria, but their plans go awry when Maria discovers that Screech and Mr. Belding will be attending.
