Episode Overview

In the late hours of a New York City night, an anxious Monica jumps into a cab, urgently instructing the driver, Merl, to take her to the Queensborough Bridge, insisting that if she doesn't arrive by 10 PM, someone will die. Flynn Hodge, the owner of Flynn's Bar and Grill, also gets in, accusing Monica of skipping out on her dinner bill. Watching from the sidewalk, Tess and Andrew observe that Monica is having a particularly tough day. Inside the cab, Monica reveals to Merl that she’s an angel, lamenting how people think she’s lost her mind. She reminds Flynn that his earlier actions led to her current crisis. A flashback reveals that morning, when Flynn rushed to the bank to contest a foreclosure on his restaurant. A botched parallel parking job by Monica makes him miss his meeting, and he lashes out at her despite her apologies.
