Andrew leads a group of young schoolchildren on a tour of Taffy Town, a place that appears enchanting, especially through a charming video featuring its founder, Uncle Dudley. Known to kids as the ultimate taffy maker, Dudley passed away five years ago, leaving behind a void that Tess believes has dulled the spirit of Taffy Town. Monica encounters Bo, Dudley's son and the current owner, who struggles to match his father's cheerful legacy and resents the burden of running the business. With Taffy Town facing financial difficulties, Bo hires Monica as an efficiency expert. As she interviews the dedicated staff, she notices their hard work is overshadowed by a lack of enthusiasm. Clarence, a blind taste tester, and Susie, who operates the taffy machine while harboring a secret crush, are among those she meets.
