Episode Overview

Nobuyuki, the messenger for the Tokugawa clan, travels to Aizu to deliver the harsh repercussions to the Uesugi clan following the battle of Sekigahara. He encounters Kanetsugu Naoe, who vehemently opposes the brutal terms, yet Nobuyuki stands firm in his mission. Meanwhile, Yukimura, having narrowly avoided execution, grapples with a hollow existence, struggling to uncover the "meaning of his life," a question Nobuyuki had prompted him to ponder. One fateful night, disturbances erupt nearby, signaling a turning point for Yukimura.
