Episode Overview
At the "Carnival of Thrills," the main performer gets injured while attempting to leap over 32 cars. Seeking a replacement, carnival owner Diane Benson offers Bo the chance to step in. As Diane tries to win Bo's affection, Luke, Daisy, and Uncle Jesse grow suspicious of her intentions. Their concerns are validated when an insurance investigator reveals that the previous stunt mishap and others were deliberate acts. Luke struggles to convince Bo of the truth, but Bo dismisses him, leading to an explosive argument that drives Bo to leave the Duke farm, threatening their family's stability. Meanwhile, Boss Hogg plans to foreclose on the carnival if Diane can't repay her loan for the fairgrounds, while Rosco seizes the General Lee for a broken taillight, prompting Luke to allow it in hopes of stopping Bo from taking the stunt job.
