Episode Overview

While the Dukes are at a stunt show called "Carnival of Thrills," disaster strikes when the head performer is injured attempting to jump over 32 cars. Seeking a replacement, carnival owner Diane Benson sets her sights on Bo, using her allure to draw him in. Meanwhile, Luke, Daisy, and Uncle Jesse grow suspicious of Diane's intentions. Their worries are validated when an insurance investigator discloses that the earlier stunt accident—and others—were staged. Luke tries to warn Bo, but he refuses to listen, leading to a heated argument that results in Bo leaving the Duke farm and threatening the family's stability. Additionally, Boss Hogg plans to repossess the carnival if Diane can't repay her loan for the fairgrounds, and Rosco seizes the General Lee due to a busted taillight, forcing Luke to allow the impounding to keep Bo from taking the stunt job.
