Episode Overview
James relentlessly tries to reach Molly, who has ended their relationship and returned to rehab. When he finally connects with her, she firmly states that it's over before hanging up. Determined, James waits outside her apartment, leading to a confrontation with Ben. Meanwhile, Felicity’s mother, now going by Barbara Hunter, comes for a visit and immediately disapproves of Ben after overhearing his heated comments about James. Sean and Richard decide to buy a load of Christmas trees to sell for a profit and enlist Ben’s help for the pickup. However, he arrives late to a play with Felicity and her mother, having forgotten the tickets. At dinner with them, Noel impresses Barbara with his ambitions, while Ben struggles to respond when she questions his future. Barbara ultimately dismisses Ben as a loser with bad influences, urging Felicity to consider Noel instead.
