Episode Overview

In a quaint town, a church prepares for its Christmas pageant, and young Serena longs to portray the angel. Meanwhile, her friend Joey, who has a developmental disability, struggles with the reality that Serena is suffering from a serious heart condition. Deeply afraid of the dark after his parents vanished into the night, Joey has relied on his older brother Wayne, who harbors resentment for his role as caregiver. Monica makes her presence known to Wayne, yet he blames God for his misfortunes. Tragically, Serena passes away on the night of the performance. Guided by a shining star, Joey finds his way to the church. Monica steps in as the angel, but when the rope holding her snaps, she ascends in a moment of awe-inspiring glory, delivering the message "Fear Not" to the stunned congregation.
