Episode Overview

Monica finds herself observing a man asleep in a shabby apartment when Tess suddenly appears, pointing out that she’s mistakenly at 801 Cedar Street in Jacksonville, Florida, instead of Jacksonville, Illinois. Using her angelic abilities, Monica tidies up the place, but as she bends down to grab a bag from under the bed, the police burst in and arrest her when they discover it's filled with cocaine. During her interrogation, her claim of being an angel leads authorities to consider her for a mental health facility. At her arraignment, she alone sees Sam, her angelic colleague, who reassures her that despite the chaos caused by her mix-up, God will always be with her. Assigned to a cynical Vietnam veteran attorney, Jake Stone, Monica refuses to accept a plea of guilty but mentally ill and demands a competency hearing, while she remains in custody.
