Episode Overview

Ginger, an exotic dancer, unexpectedly crosses paths with Monica at her workplace. Desperate for help, Ginger hires Monica to look after her young daughter, Emily, who has a cleft palate that makes her a target for bullying in their trailer park. Hoping to help, Monica introduces Emily to Jeremy, who quickly becomes her friend. When Jeremy discovers Operation Smile, a charity providing free surgeries, he proposes Emily as a candidate. However, Ginger believes Emily's condition is divine punishment for her past mistakes and declines the offer. Undeterred, Jeremy sneaks off to Nashville with Emily in Albert's truck, which is unknowingly loaded with stolen goods. Tess intercepts them, confronting Albert and rerouting their journey with a hot air balloon. Meanwhile, Monica confronts Ginger, expressing her frustration with her belief that Emily is a punishment, reminding her instead that Emily is a true blessing.
