After Andrew transports a cancer patient, Gloria becomes intrigued by the concept of death. Monica encourages her to join Andrew on a “ride-along.” Meanwhile, Robbie McGregor takes drastic measures to shield his sister, Sarah, from their abusive father by locking her in a bomb shelter. He later returns the key to their father's keychain. When mailman Chuck Parker arrives at the McGregor home, Robbie answers a simple baseball trivia question before inquiring about a package he’s waiting for. Chuck hasn’t seen it but promises to look out for it. Just then, their father, Gary, yells for Robbie. As Chuck heads back to his truck, he unexpectedly finds the package and rushes to the door.
