Mama's Family (1983)

Episode Overview

Vint and Buzz attend a bachelor party to celebrate Vint's upcoming wedding to Naomi. Meanwhile, at home, Fran, Ellen, and Mama are busy decorating the living room when Naomi shows up with a bottle of wine that Ellen dismisses as low quality. As they indulge, Ellen reveals her suspicion that her husband, Bruce, may be cheating with his secretary, Peggy. Although everyone feigns surprise, they secretly share her doubts and try to convince her otherwise. When Ellen calls Bruce, he reassures her that Peggy is a saint for working late and that she shouldn’t worry about him. Ellen jokes that the only thing that could spoil the day is Eunice showing up. The women then discuss Eunice's desire to sing at the wedding, all agreeing it would be a disaster. Just then, Eunice walks in through the back door and overhears their conversation, visibly upset. She storms into the living room, losing her composure.
