S01E24 The Final Fight! Ginji vs. Makubex
Episode Overview
Ginji desperately asks Makubex to return the IL to the GetBackers, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. When a direct confrontation proves futile, Ginji decides to take him on in a one-on-one fight. He charges at Makubex, but his attack is easily deflected, resulting in an electric shock that incapacities the others. Makubex then creates an illusion that makes it seem like they’re inside his own body, blurring the line between reality and fantasy. Ginji realizes that Makubex is in pain and offers to help him through their battle. As they clash, the rest of the team notices that both fighters are evenly matched. Ban speculates that the Limitless Fortress might be a form of virtual reality, given the rapid healing and enhanced strength they observe. A flashback reveals that Ban had encouraged Ginji to join him, as Ginji was unsure of his place with the VOLTS due to his growing powers as the Lightning Lord. Just when
