S01E25 Get Back the Limitless Future!
Episode Overview
As the intruder interception program remains active, the GetBackers are unable to stop Makubex. He reveals that he knows why Ginji abandoned the Limitless Fortress, having hacked into Babylon City's database to uncover a prophetic archive about the fortress's future. Makubex intends to use the IL to break free from Babylon City and create a reinvented Limitless Fortress. When the team attempts to confront him, he finds himself in a surreal realm, witnessing the consequences of his misguided utopia and the absence of The VOLTS. He sees a reflection of himself declaring his intention to reduce the world to nothingness, leading to the destruction of the fortress and his own demise. However, Ban uses Jagan on Makubex to destroy the detonator, allowing him to escape while trapping the team in the computer room. Ginji uses his lightning to break down the door, and as he leaves, Emishi notes that Makubex's heartlessness stems from The VOLTS’ disbandment
