S01E03 Operation: Recover the Platinum!
Episode Overview
Hevn, a skilled negotiator, briefs The GetBackers on a new assignment. They meet Haruo Ohtaki, who tasks them with retrieving a box from a gang known as The Transporters. In exchange for the box, which is believed to contain platinum, The Transporters demand a share of its contents. As The GetBackers gear up to confront the gang, they find themselves in a thrilling high-speed chase. During the pursuit, Himiko Kudo sprays Ginji with a toxic perfume, temporarily turning him into an ape-like version of himself. This causes Ban to lose focus, leading them to plummet off a cliff. While searching for The Transporters, Ban reminisces about Himiko, recalling her moniker, "Lady Poison." The Transporters soon face an obstacle when an interceptor and his crew intercept them, but Kuroudo Akabane swiftly eliminates them. As The GetBackers finally catch up, both groups prepare for an imminent showdown.
