Episode Overview
A new play premieres, centered on a man who dies and converses with God. Jonathan has become a priest, while Mark works as the dresser for Fred Fusco, the actor portraying the lead role. Fusco starts off somewhat downcast, but after the play's opening night, he claims that God was present in the audience. While some, including Jonathan, suspect this is a ploy for publicity, the buzz surprisingly boosts the play's success. Fusco undergoes a transformation, especially after meeting a young boy battling cancer. Following the boy’s death, Fusco decides to donate all his assets to a foundation in the boy's honor, angering his sister and nephew who rely on him financially. When he announces his own impending death, his sister attempts to have him committed. Jonathan confronts Fusco, asserting he believes him to be a fraud, but after a divine revelation, Fusco apologizes, leading Jonathan to seek out God for his own answers.
