Highway to Heaven (1984)

Episode Overview

On their way to meet Mark's friends, Jonathan stands up to some bullies, which leads to his recall. Once Mark arrives, he accidentally reveals a secret that prompts his friends to tell their oldest daughter about her adoption. Determined to find her birth mother, she soon discovers that her adoptive mother is, in fact, her biological mother. Years prior, her mother had been pressured by her aunt to put her baby up for adoption. When she later married, she told her husband she couldn't have kids, leading to their adoption. After their second daughter’s birth, she claimed it was a miracle. Upon learning the truth, her husband decides to leave her, taking their younger daughter with him. Despite Mark's attempts to assist him, he refuses help. Later, Jonathan leads Mark to an abortion clinic, where Mark's friend arrests the protesting crowd, revealing his agreement with the clinic’s mission.
