This documentary explores the various forms of combat—both physical and psychological—used by animals in the pursuit of food, territory, or mates. The aggressive nature of territorial disputes is showcased through the hummingbird, which fiercely defends its space, even attacking a nearby stuffed replica. In contrast, the midas cichlid relies on strength rather than weaponry, using its mouth to engage in struggles. Meanwhile, the mantis shrimp boasts powerful forelimbs capable of crushing shells, making its confrontations perilous. Many animals with deadly weapons avoid using them in fights, as the risk of fatality is high. For instance, a venomous snake prefers to subdue rather than bite. Wolves and big cats display their dominance through growls and body language, while rival zebras resort to kicking and biting until one prevails, and giraffes use their necks in combat. Even typically peaceful mountain gorillas can display aggression during rough play, with one showing fear by
