Episode Overview

Mount Olympus has changed dramatically. On the battlefield, Hector feels a surge of fear as he sees Achilles approaching. When their long-anticipated duel begins, Hector throws his spear, but Athena intervenes, altering its course. Achilles seizes the moment and slays Hector, then ties his lifeless body to his chariot, dragging it around the city walls in a show of triumph. As night descends, King Priam pleads with Achilles for the return of his son's remains. Touched by the king's sorrow, Achilles consents. That evening, Odysseus devises a clever strategy that might secure victory for the Greeks.
