Chris is caught off guard when Rhonda, the supposed winner of a radio contest for a date with him, turns out to be a man in a dress. As Rhonda arrives backstage at Bimbo's just before Chris and his band are set to perform a live radio show, Chris suspects it’s a prank. However, as they chat, he realizes Rhonda is a genuine fan, passionate about both his music and vintage rockabilly. Rhonda is definitely more enjoyable than his ex, Tanya, the DJ hosting the segment, who keeps firing off uncomfortable personal questions. Things get more chaotic when Sheryl Crow, the special guest for the broadcast, hasn’t shown up yet. Yola juggles the situation while trying to give attention to her boyfriend, Sam, who missed a chance to see Kathleen Battle in "Porgy and Bess" to attend the show. Meanwhile, Anson invites his classical music-enthusiast father to the event and uncovers a hidden family secret
