Overview
Set against the backdrop of a bustling restaurant atop the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, It's a Living blends humor and heart in its portrayal of a group of waitresses navigating the ups and downs of their careers and personal lives. Premiering on ABC from October 30, 1980, to June 11, 1982, the sitcom enjoyed a resurgence with new episodes in syndication from September 28, 1985, to April 8, 1989. Created by Stu Silver, Dick Clair, and Jenna McMahon, the show was produced by Witt/Thomas Productions, later collaborating with Golden West Television and Lorimar-Telepictures.
