Episode Overview
Title: Shadows of the Past Plot: The episode opens with a young boy's terrified screams echoing from his locked bedroom, while his frantic mother struggles to get inside. When the police arrive, she explains that her husband is assaulting their son. They force the door open and arrest the husband. David insists to his wife that he isn’t responsible for the violence, claiming an unknown force is to blame and that Michael remains at risk. The following morning, Derek visits David, who has been released from jail thanks to his father. Curious about the incident, Derek confronts David, who shows him a scar on his chest, alleging it was inflicted by the mysterious force that attacked Michael. However, Derek soon realizes David was intoxicated the night before. He inquires if Rachel is available to check on Michael, to which David consents.
