Episode Overview
In a devout little village, church services wrap up, and a man bolts into the woods. He discovers a bridge and starts to cross it, only to be halted by an unseen force. As he stands on the bridge, a Reverend appears, places a hand on his forehead, and the man collapses dead—making it clear that leaving the village is forbidden. At Legacy House, Nick enters the conference room to share his findings about a lost colony from fifty years prior. He’s eager to investigate, but Derek convinces him to bring Rachel along. Rachel, struggling with a mid-life crisis and the turmoil she's faced recently, hesitantly agrees. As Nick and Rachel approach the same bridge where the earlier tragedy occurred, they cross it and step into a mysterious portal.
