Episode Overview

As Christmas approaches, the mood in the ER is far from merry. Carol finds a glimmer of joy through a jolly patient reminiscent of Santa. Mark is furious when Jenn opts to remain in Milwaukee for the holidays. Benton and Carter impress Vucelich by persuading an elderly man, Ruby, to involve his wife in Vucelich's research. Mark also prepares to testify in the O'Brien case. The death of a priest raises tensions, potentially igniting a gang conflict. Weaver unexpectedly reconnects with an old friend from Africa, while a Holocaust survivor, recently carjacked, brings the spirit of Chanukah to the emergency room.
