Greene helps paramedics care for kids hurt in a bus crash. Meanwhile, Doug and Jeanie face their own mishap. Kerry intervenes, preventing Doug from assisting Jeanie or any other victims. Frustrated, Doug chooses to resign and relocate to the Northwest, asking Carol to join him. She ultimately declines, and he departs alone. In the meantime, Carol steps down from her clinic leadership role to ensure its survival under Anspaugh’s management. Jeanie learns she might have contracted hepatitis, while the hospital's janitor, Mobalage, faces a personal crisis as his wife is attacked.
