Episode Overview

On a hectic Halloween evening, only Carter and Abby don costumes as the ER fills with victims from an apartment fire. Meanwhile, Corday welcomes a new surgical rotation student, Paul Nathan, who, despite his battle with Parkinson's disease, is determined to pursue a career in medicine. Nathan faces challenges in both his medical duties and personal health, but ultimately makes a tough diagnosis. Meanwhile, Romano's rehabilitation progress falls short of his expectations, leading him to question whether his surgical career is still viable.
