Episode Overview

Title: Blackmail Plot: Feigning support for his wife, Sir Giles leverages compromising images of Dundridge to persuade him against his tunnel proposal and to reroute the motorway through Otterton instead. At a subsequent hearing, Dundridge pressures convenor Lord Leakham by threatening legal action from Lady Maud over her wrongful imprisonment, ultimately taking charge of the new route's construction. Thankful, Lady Maud invites him to dinner and orchestrates for him to stay overnight. However, after being pursued by an infatuated woman and shot at by Blott, who claims to defend her honor, a furious and exposed Dundridge resolves to redirect the motorway through Handyman Hall.
