In the last episode featuring Peter Falk as Columbo, Los Angeles club promoter Justin Price finds himself in a tight spot when his girlfriend Vanessa's ex-husband unexpectedly dies in her apartment. With the man having been a financial supporter of Justin's new venue, they decide to dispose of the body. However, when a tenacious journalist uncovers the truth and attempts to extort Justin, he resorts to murder to silence the threat. Columbo, ever the shrewd detective, is hot on the trail to unravel the tangled web of deceit.
