Episode Overview

After several residents fall ill from mercury poisoning, Dr. Mike persuades a hesitant Sully to lead her to a high mountain stream that might be the source of the contamination. The journey proves challenging for her, but she earns Sully’s admiration and gratitude when she saves his life twice despite having a broken wrist. Once they discover that a local mine owner's operations are polluting the stream, they find themselves captured by the owner's men. Meanwhile, anxious townspeople form a bumbling posse to search for them. Olive supports Grace in her new business venture, Grace's Cafe. Ultimately, Dr. Mike resolves the crisis by treating the mine owner's son, who has been affected by the tainted water, and persuades the owner to shut down the mine.
