Episode Overview

Dr. Mike sets out to mend the troubled spirit of Doc Eli, a former Civil War surgeon who has turned into a dubious patent medicine salesman, now enamored with his own miraculous elixir claimed to be derived from the legendary Kickapoo Indians. Her skepticism grows as she confronts a genuine medical emergency with Myra. To assist Myra in removing an ovarian cyst using a procedure Eli developed, she must help him confront his haunting past. Meanwhile, Sully seeks to persuade Franklin, a disillusioned Cheyenne survivor of a massacre, to reconnect with his community and join their ongoing struggle. In a lighter turn of events, Myra and Horace become engaged.
