Episode Overview

Sister Ruth, a traveling faith healer, unexpectedly finds herself falling for Kid Cole, who has returned to town to bring a captured outlaw to justice. However, the outlaw’s two brothers are hot on his trail. Kid Cole, oddly resigned to his fate, appears to have lost his desire to live. As tensions escalate, Mike and Sister Ruth must combine their skills—medicine and faith—to save him. Mike rushes to perform an urgent procedure to clear Kid Cole's lung infection, while Sister Ruth helps him rediscover his will to fight. Sully confronts Kid Cole, who reveals his deep guilt over killing an unarmed man, and Sully aids him in overcoming this burden. In a tense standoff, the townsfolk rally to prevent a violent clash with the outlaws. Meanwhile, the Reverend initially refuses to let Robert E and Grace wed in the church, but eventually, with the help of Mike and Sister Ruth, he relents.
