Episode Overview

PC McGarry stops by the pottery to invite Mr. Farthing for tea. While working on his garden sculptures, Mr. Farthing mentions the dwindling interest in stone art these days. Afterward, PC McGarry visits the Biscuit Factory, complimenting Mr. Cresswell on its modern appearance but suggesting that a fountain would enhance the space. Mr. Cresswell then enlists Mr. Farthing to create one. Lord Belborough collects a stone block from Treddles Wharf, Farmer Bell excavates the foundation, and Mr. Clutterbuck constructs the basin. Finally, at six o’clock one evening, the Mayor of Trumpton unveils the completed fountain.
