Episode Overview

Hemni and Sugimoto are ambushed by soldiers from the 7th Division. In the chaos of their escape, Hemni tries to take Sugimoto's life, leading to a brutal fight that ends with Sugimoto fatally wounding him. An orca washes ashore and seizes Hemni's lifeless body, but Sugimoto, along with Shiraishi and Asirpa, manages to retrieve it. Meanwhile, Ogata and Nikaidō confront Tanigaki in the Ainu village, accusing him of murdering his comrades and abandoning the 7th Division. Realizing there are internal conflicts within the 7th, Tanigaki prepares to stand his ground.
