Three convicts on the run arrive in Shiloh with intentions to find Judge Garth. Among them, Barry Sullivan reveals himself as the biological father of Betsy Garth, a truth that Betsy is completely unaware of. His plan is to take back his daughter and seek reparation, convinced that the Judge had deliberately left him to fend for himself in the desolate wilderness years ago.
