Mar 31, 1986 Season 3 Episode 21 Documentary

Episode Overview

While driving back home to California from Las Vegas, Mark is taken aback to hear his childhood idol, Nick Damion, a rock deejay, broadcasting on local station KKSB in Arizona. Meanwhile, Hardcastle is preparing a tribute for the Pioneers of Music Hall of Fame Museum and considers Mark's suggestion of Nick as the event's master of ceremonies. They return to Arizona to gather information from KKSB's manager, Jeannine Alexander. After clearing Damion, who has been using the name Joe Cross, of a false drug charge, Mark persuades him to head back to California. As Hardcastle investigates Kello Records, linked to Damion’s past, Damion realizes he must expose music executive Joe Kello, who had killed a singer to hide a payola scandal. The case comes to a head when Damion publicly confronts Kello at the Museum dedication. In a twist, Hardcastle reveals that Jeannine is in cahoots with Kello.
